About the BMW CCC CarPlay Kit

Model: P3000-BMCC

Upgrade your BMW CCC iDrive system with the genuine Mr12Volt BMW CCC Kit and enjoy wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without replacing your original screen or dashboard. Unlike cheaper AUX-based interfaces, the Mr12Volt BMW CCC kit connects directly to your BMW's MOST fibre optic network, preserving factory sound quality while retaining your original iDrive controller, steering wheel controls and OEM functionality. Stream music, use Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze, make hands-free calls and access your favourite apps through your factory BMW display.

"A pleasure to deal with. Fast delivery and even arranged installation for me. Friendly and fast aftersales support when required too."
Isher Singh, Google review

Key Features of the BMW CCC Interface

1.     Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: connect your iPhone or Android phone to your BMW's CCC system wirelessly or over USB, with access to navigation, music, messaging and calls directly from the car's display.

2.     MirrorLink: screen mirroring support for Android (CarLetter required) for apps not covered by CarPlay or Android Auto.

3.     Plug-and-play installation: connects directly to the existing CCC wiring, no additional wiring or modifications required.

4.     Retains OEM functions: the iDrive controller, steering wheel buttons and factory display all continue to work as before.

5.     Multimedia playback: play music and other formats from your phone through the car's audio system, including Apple Lossless streaming.

6.     Better sound processing: a highly customisable 15 band DSP equaliser.

7.     Bluetooth streaming: play music from your phone over Bluetooth without needing a USB connection, runs alongside your BMW's own Bluetooth handsfree rather than replacing it.

8.     Aftermarket camera support: reverse, front, left and right camera inputs, up to AHD 720.

This device is aimed at BMW owners with the CCC system who want to modernise their car’s infotainment capabilities without the need for a full system replacement, thus bringing a more contemporary driving experience to older vehicles.

How it works

  • Your car retains the original CCC system, Mr12Volt is accessed through the CD changer menu by pressing the CD button. If a factory CD changer is fitted, it must be disabled, a bypass loop connector is included in the package for this.
  • Supports aftermarket cameras up to AHD 720.
  • If your car has a factory fitted microphone, Mr12Volt now uses it for Siri and Google Assistant voice commands. If your CCC model doesn't have a factory mic (common on earlier cars), the supplied microphone in the box is used instead.

Compatible BMW Vehicles with CCC, M-ASK, M-ASK II (8.8"/6.5")

Compatible with BMW vehicles equipped with CCC, M-ASK or M-ASK II systems (6.5" or 8.8" displays) and Base, HiFi or Harman Kardon Logic 7 audio systems. Mr12Volt doesn't publish confirmed years per model for CCC the way it does for NBT, if you're not sure which system you have, check your dashboard or send us your registration.

Genuine MOST Fibre, Not an AUX Box

Most BMW CarPlay retrofits on the market, including other CCC interfaces, connect through your car's AUX input or Bluetooth audio. That works, but it's a downgrade path: analogue signal, a noticeable drop in sound quality, and sometimes a slight lag between what's on screen and what you hear. The Mr12Volt CCC interface connects a different way, straight into your BMW's MOST fibre optic network, the same digital path BMW's own factory system uses. Nothing gets converted to analogue and back. Steering wheel controls, the iDrive controller, factory amplifier and Harman Kardon Logic 7 or HiFi sound all keep working exactly as BMW built them. It's the difference between a proper retrofit and a bolt-on box.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this need an AUX input?
No. It connects directly through your BMW's MOST fibre optic network, not the AUX port, so there's no drop in audio quality.

Will I lose my steering wheel controls or iDrive dial?
No, every original control keeps working exactly as before, this is an addition to your factory system, not a replacement for it.

How do I know if my BMW has CCC and not CIC?
Check the compatible models above first, CCC is the older of the two systems, typically pre-2009. If your car falls right on a changeover year, check your dashboard here or send us your registration.

Does it work with Harman Kardon Logic 7 sound systems?
Yes, Base, HiFi and Harman Kardon Logic 7 are all supported.

Can I still use a reverse or front camera?
Yes, camera inputs are supported alongside the CarPlay interface.

Is this a genuine Mr12Volt product?
Yes. CarPlay Direct is the official UK authorised Mr12Volt stockist, every kit comes with full manufacturer warranty.

Do I need to replace my factory screen?
No. The kit works with your original BMW display and iDrive system.

Can I switch back to the original BMW interface?
Yes. Switching between BMW iDrive and CarPlay is quick and seamless using the factory controls.

Can I install it myself?
Most customers install the kit in around one to two hours using basic trim removal tools.

Will this work with my BMW's OEM microphone for calls?
Yes, if your BMW has a factory fitted microphone, Mr12Volt now uses it for Siri and Google Assistant voice commands. If your CCC model doesn't have a factory mic, the kit includes its own microphone.

Does my BMW need coding for this to work?
Not usually. If your BMW doesn't have a CD changer fitted, no coding is needed. If it does, the changer needs disabling first, using the bypass loop connector included in the box.
