Software version check: with the ignition on, press SOURCE (bottom left of the screen) and INFO (to the right of the main control dial) at the same time, and the screen will display the software version, for example 3.0 or 3.1. This works even if your car already has an aftermarket CarPlay unit fitted, since it reads the underlying Porsche software rather than whatever's showing on screen.

P800 Bluetooth kit for Cayenne 955 / 957 (pre-facelift) (2004 to 2008)
Earlier 955 / 957 (pre-facelift)-generation Cayennes run PCM 2.0/2.1, which predates full CarPlay/Android Auto integration. Also compatible with CDR23 and CDR24 radios, provided your Cayenne has the OEM 6 CD changer fitted in the boot, CDR23/24 without the factory changer isn't supported. The P800 is a different kind of upgrade: genuine Bluetooth music streaming and handsfree calling through your factory MOST network, with SBC, AAC, aptX and aptX HD codec support for noticeably better audio quality than a standard Bluetooth adapter.
