Software version check: PCM 3.1 (970, 2010 to 2016) is the only system this kit covers. If your car is close to either edge of that window, press SOURCE (bottom left of the screen) and INFO (to the right of the main control dial) together with the ignition on, and the screen will show the software version, confirming PCM 3.1 either way. This works even if your car already has an aftermarket CarPlay unit fitted, since it reads the underlying Porsche software rather than whatever's showing on screen.
