CIC (2009 to 2012)
8.8-inch high-resolution screen, or a smaller 6.5-inch “CIC MID” screen on base trims
The iDrive dial is surrounded by a ring of physical shortcut buttons (CD, Radio, Nav, Tel and so on)
NBT (2012 to 2016)
8.8-inch or 10.25-inch screen, noticeably sharper and wider than CIC
Same button ring as CIC, but later units add a touchpad on top of the dial for finger-writing
NBT EVO (2016 - 2019)
10.25-inch full widescreen as standard, there's no narrower option
