Built for the Audi A6 C6, A8 D3 and first generation Q7 with MMI 2G High, this genuine Mr12Volt kit brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to the colour screen your car left the factory with. There’s no replacement head unit and no change to the dashboard: your MMI controller, steering wheel controls and OEM microphone all carry on working. The interface joins your Audi’s MOST fibre optic network instead of using the AUX input, so Base, Bose and Bang & Olufsen systems keep their original sound quality. Navigate with Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze, play your music and make hands-free calls through the factory display.
This kit is for the A6, A8 and Q7 only. If you have an Audi A4 or A5 with MMI 2G High, you need our MMI 2G High kit for the A4 and A5.

How it works

• Your car keeps its original MMI system. Mr12Volt is accessed through the Media menu: select CD to launch CarPlay or Android Auto, and switch back to the factory MMI screens at any time using your MMI controls.
• If your car has a factory CD changer, let us know when you order and we’ll advise on what’s needed.
• If your Audi is a 2009 car, add a note at checkout and we’ll include the extra cable these cars need.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if my Audi has MMI 2G High?
Press SETUP next to the MMI controller and open the version screen. MMI 2G High shows SW and HW lines. If it shows a “Software version” starting HNav or HN+, your car has MMI 3G and needs our MMI 3G kit. If your car sits on a changeover year, send us your registration and we’ll confirm it.
Will this kit fit my Audi A4 or A5?
No. The A4 and A5 use a different MMI 2G High unit and have their own kit, the Mr12Volt MMI 2G High kit for the A4 and A5.
My A8 or Q7 is a 2009 car. Do I need anything extra?
Yes. 2009 cars with MMI 2G High need an extra cable alongside the kit. Add a note at checkout to tell us it’s a 2009 car and we’ll include it. Some 2009 cars were built with MMI 3G instead, so check your version screen before ordering.
My car has the small monochrome screen. Will it fit?
No. That’s MMI 2G Basic, which this kit doesn’t support. It only works with the MMI 2G High colour screen.
