The Mr12Volt CIC wireless multimedia device is an aftermarket upgrade designed for BMW vehicles equipped with the CIC (Car Information Computer) system. This device enables wireless connectivity features, allowing you to integrate modern multimedia capabilities into older BMW models that originally did not have these features.

Key Features:

1. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: The device allows you to connect your iPhone or Android smartphone wirelessly to your BMW’s infotainment system. This provides access to apps like navigation (Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze), music (Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal), messaging, and calls directly from the car’s display.
2. MirrorLink: It often supports screen mirroring, allowing you to display your phone’s screen on the car’s display, which can be useful for apps not supported by CarPlay or Android Auto.
3. Plug-and-Play Installation: The device is usually easy to install, with a plug-and-play design that connects directly to the existing wiring of the BMW’s CIC system without the need for additional wiring or modifications.
4. Retain OEM Functions: Mr12Volt retains all the original BMW functions and controls, so you can still use the iDrive controller, steering wheel buttons, and other factory features like Voice Control and OEM Microphone
5. Multimedia Playback: The device also allows you to play various multimedia formats from your phone or other devices through the car’s audio system. Mr12Volt supports supports Apple Lossless music streaming.

7. Bluetooth Streaming: It may also support Bluetooth audio streaming, allowing you to play music from your phone without needing to connect via USB.
8. Aftermarket Camera: Mr12Volt supports the addition of Reverse/Front/Left/Right cameras, supporting up to AHD720

How it Works

• Car retains the original CIC system and Mr12Volt would be accessed via the CD Changer menu. Users can easily switch between both systems by pressing CD/Media button on the CIC controller.
• If a CD changer is fitted in the car, it must be disabled (Bypass Loop connector is included in the package to disable CD changer)
